Danish Food Startup Of The Year 2026

Once again, we want to find and recognize the best startups within the Danish gastro and foodtech scene. You can either nominate a startup for this award, or you can register your own startup below. After the nomination deadline, 4 finalists will selected will pitch in front of a selected jury, investors and thousands of participants to showcase their solution on October 21, 2026 in DTU Skylab.

The Purpose – maintain our leading position in gastronomy and technology in Denmark:

This competition and award show was established by Danish Startup Group during the Covid pandemic with many unprecedented challenges, difficulties and restrictions for the Danish food sector and startups. This competition was a beacon of hope and resilience, in order to gather and strengthen the Danish food sector and to celebrate our amazing food entrepreneurs with a award show/competition.

Why Participate as a startup?

Requirements:

– The startup has a validated MVP or proof of concept in the Danish gastronomy, food or foodtech area.

– The startup is either located or founded in Denmark.

– The startup is under 5 years old.

– Finalist announcement: October 1st, 2026

– Award show/pitch: October 21, 2026, 15:00-17:00, in DTU Skylab
